When you absolutely, positively have to get from Frankfurt to Darmstadt, or Chicago to Indianapolis, for that business meeting and you have to take some colleagues along with you, and it’s late February and the weather is iffy, really, what other choice have you but the Audi A8? It’s got grace, pace and space, and thanks to the standard quattro all wheel drive, inclement weather won’t slow you down much.

The A8′s Body is constructed from lightweight and yet ultra-strong aluminum featuring an ASF design. The design is quite flowing given the impressive size of the A8 and buyers have the option of full LED headlights.

The luxurious interior comes with newly developed, spacious styling and craftsman-level fit and finish, and emotionally charged interior lighting. There is an advanced MMI control system, MMI touch navigation system with pioneering operating concept, which will really impress anyone who would like a more easily-usable navigation system. The seats come with optional ventilation and massage functions, and the individual rear seats are a luxurious option.

The Audi A8 has safety in spades. There’s the new Audi pre sense safety system for mitigating accidents and their consequences. And the infotainment and driver assistance systems are just as top notch. There’s the next-generation navigation system closely networked with the assistance systems, high-end audio systems and online services. There is a night vision assistant with pedestrian marking, adaptive cruise control with stop & go function and advanced driver assistance systems available

And as you would expect, the drivetrain matches the car in every respect. There are two TDI engines and one gasoline engine, all with direct fuel injection, with power ranging from 184 kW (250 hp) to 273 kW (372 hp). Fuel consumption was reduced by as much as 22 percent and all the while, performance has been enhanced.

The new 3.0 TDI with 150 kW (204 hp) has a best-in-class CO2 value of 156 g/km (251.06 g/mile), and all engines come with an energy recuperation system. The 3.0 TDI also features a start-stop system. There’s a new for 2010 8-speed tiptronic as standard.

Chassis goodies abound with lightweight aluminum wheel suspension, Audi drive select dynamic driving system including adaptive air suspension and adaptive damping standard and an optional dynamic steering system.
